moved this guy ahead a few days so he could show up on halloween! the original photo had only four stuffed spider legs so i gave him eight thinking i was improving the image. i just now realize that the baby's actual arms and legs are supposed to represent spider legs as well. crap, now its a 12-legged spider. kind of reminds me of the spider drawing as payment.

this is Alexander the Great and his horse, Bucephalus. what does one have to do to have "the Great" as a part of one's name? tame a wild horse? i'm guessing it's just a form you have to fill out for the government. i should look into it. a woman sent me a picture of her betta and her cat and asked me to paint them together. i tried to make it ambiguous as to if they're friends or not. maybe it's like Edward and Bella. the cat doesn't want to eat the fish. but the cat totally wants to eat the fish.

this painting is based on a pin [pictured below] that a guy made. he said, "it is, i think, the best thing i have ever made. and then i gave it to a friend because i love her, but now i'm bummed that i no longer have it." haha i thought that was adorable. also, when i sent him a picture of his finished painting and asked for his address to mail it he said this: "OH MY GOD I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THIS AND YOU MADE MY DAY FOREVER." also adorable.

this boat is the final one in my water series for the Colorado Foundation for Water. so based on my reporting, water is used for drinking, holding up boats and a home for fish. i think that about covers it.

this painting is going to the winner of the "contest" about matching my made up cityscape. this same guy gets to request tomorrow's painting, too. more than one painting for one person is quite a rarity! but he deserves it for his efforts. or his dog deserves one for learning to do this.

Just a Big Grey Circle

i made the dots pretty large on this one. in every good there is a crap ton of evil and in ever evil there's loads of good. i should have made the dots so big they pretty much took up the whole side and bled into each other. a yin yang that communicates there is no such thing as good and evil.

i got this request for a plesiosaurus swimming in a black sea with a blue sky with stars. after i finished it i thought it looked a lot like nessy. well it turns out i wasn't too far off because the loch ness monster is suspected to be a plesiosaur which is related to this gal.

God's A Hilarious Character Designer

this portrait was requested by this boy's father. he specifically wanted a head shot with no shoulders. if i had my choice of who to paint for a floating head portrait i would have picked this little guy anyway. he's already a living cartoon. his adorable, goofy little head is just asking to be painted.
