Black and White Power Wand
where does this animal get off thinking it can have a ridiculously patterned tail that's longer than it's body? how is that evolutionarily helpful?? it's not even prehensile. wikipedia says it's for balance, communication and group cohesion. i guess i could probably get any person to do whatever i wanted if i had such an impressive tail too.

Winky the Hamster
this is a pet portrait of a hamster that lost an eye. good name can make a physical impairment cute. one of my brother's friends growing up blew off his ring and pinky finger with a firecracker. they called him "turtle" because the teenage mutant ninja turtles only have three fingers. how adorable.

Visit New Denmark: The Presumed State
this request was for "a grey raccoon playing a piano accordion which looks like the flag of Denmark". i've been asked to mail it to an address with the acronym "NJ". by using context clues i've deduced that state must be New Denmark.

Rocket and Planets
these planets are clearly influenced by my vague memories of the solar system chapter from third grade.

Heart Loaded Gun
hee hee i liked this request. though it's not that original. i've seen many t shirts with this same idea, one of which i own.
it's really hard to see but this is the best picture i have. the shirt i'm wearing features a blue machine gun shooting hearts. i've also seen a shirt with a gun shooting butterflies. and one with a picture of a gun made out of hearts. and one that equates a gun to a heart:
but despite it being thought of before (and possibly due to that fact that this shows the message is universal), i still really like this request

The Second Keepon
when i painted the first version of keepon, keepon's researcher posted to his blog about it. this second version is for a keepon fan who requested after seeing that post. the first one featured him standing straight up. this time i caught him mid dance move.

Jackson Pollock Style Painting
i went with a different style for this painting. i used the Jackson Pollock technique of drizzling paint onto the canvas very freely. this is what all the random paint splatters came together to look like. it kind of reminds me of something....like i saw burnt into my toast or something. i'm probably just looking to much into it.

A Quest for Love
i want a guy to collect eight pieces of the triforce of wisdom for me! who am i kidding, i'd probably end up liking Ganon more.

Rolling Stones
this request was for "something to do with album covers of rolling stones, tom petty, bruce springsteen, journey or something". i painted the rolling stones' forty licks album cover. i should have went with the last option of "something". is something a band? or could i have designed my own cover? Something and the Et Ceteras live from Anytown, USA.

Grover
it's rare to see this monster's legs. i'm guessing it's because he usually has a human hand stuck in him.

Ali, Canvases and Art Have Returned!
daily free paintings have returned! it's been so long i almost forgot how to sign in and post. it was kind of nice to have a break but i'm glad to be back putting pop into the world.
today's square foot of art features a tree in autumn for a girl named autumn.
