ooook. i haven't posted in almost a week now. i've been on tour. i thought i'd be able to keep this up from the tour bus (read: RV) but i totally can't make it happen. i'm sorry, dear Free Painting fans. i will return to arting when i'm back from traveling the nation playing my musics. thanks for understanding and not unsubscribing and not thinking i'm lazy :) i'll see ya in about a month!

i met this requester in person when he came to one of my concerts. he was wearing a brightly colored shirt and bow tie. but not this brightly colored shirt and bow tie. i do believe he has many. it's his "thing". as someone who has mismatched her shoes for about 8 years, i appreciate his commitment to personal branding.

i was going to feel vaguely sexist for putting a bow in this lemming's hair when the requester asked for a "girl lemming". then i realized the concept behind lemmings is that they have no originality or individual voice. so it's perfect that this girl lemming has a bow. duh. that's what all girl lemmings do.

A Very Average Dudegal

this is minecraft steve. a generic, genderless representation of a human being. i guess steve is a girl's name now.

this is a duck-billed platypus. are there other types of platypuses that we must specify he is duck-billed?? are there elephant-trunked platypuses? wolf-snouted platypuses? human-nosed platypuses? his feet look ducky, too, so why not duck-footed platypus? how about a dollar-billed platypus? or a duck-and-cover platypus? what about a platypus-billed platypus?
