Subtle Game Art

this is from the video game, "Bioshock". there's an enemy called Handyman and you can see his heart through a porthole in his chest. i like that this isn't immediately recognizable to everyone as a game reference. just a porthole to a heart is a pretty cool painting concept on it's own.

Some Serious Cropping

this requester sent me a very passionate description of how much he likes the Alexander the Great mosaic and asked me to paint it. the original is huge and detailed and the guy clearly loves it. i couldn't do the whole thing justice so i painted what i felt i could represent adequately with my style. which turned out to be about 0.74% of it.
